A Review of The Great King Vibrator
By Sascha On November 26th, 2008I have an inherent problem with sextoys that are made like VibeReview’s Great King, that is, the kind of vibrator with a flexible shaft that goes round-and-round or up-and-down inside me. When I cum, I <ahem> When I cum, my pussy goes into spasms that clamp down on said toy. Or said cock. This sounds like fun unless you have a cock inside that has just cum and is very sensitive. And Mr. Cock’s owner can’t pull out for about 30 seconds either because I am clamping down so hard. Same thing with the vibrator. I either shoot that mother out half-way across the room, or I can’t get it out for a minute or so.
This sort of flexible-shaft vibrator, such as the Rabbit Pearl tends to break on me at the shaft part. I tend to be a bit hard on vibes, I’m afraid…
The Great King, however, is much more durable than the Rabbit Pearl, it seems. I’ve been using this vibrator on a regular basis for the last three months – at least two to three times a week, usually more, and I have yet to encounter any problems with the shaft.
The shaft itself is nice and thick like that of the Rabbit Pearl, and both are a generous 6″ long. And I like the big thick mushroom head which has a smiley face on it. ![]()
I have no problem getting off with the Great King. It emits powerful vibrations – it uses 3 “C” batteries, which should give you an idea of how strong they are.
The one thing I don’t like about the Great King is that it’s made of jelly material, which contains phthalates. Jelly also is problematic in that it is harder to keep clean, and may contain latex, to which some people are allergic. Although I love the feel and the texture of the Great King, I do share My toys with My partners, and so it’s critical to keep them spotlessly clean. For most of my toys, I wipe them down with a product like Clorox disinfecting wipes, and then wipe them down again with scent-free baby wipes, which gets rid of the Clorox.
With the Great King I would be worried about not getting them totally disinfected in this manner. So what I do personally, is to use a condom over the vibrator shaft. This keeps the phthalates from being up inside me, and also keeps the vibrator clean. Of course if you are allergic to latex, this is not a viable option.
Normally I would give the King 5 stars, but because of the jelly material, I give it 4 stars at this time.
